Trial & Return & Exchange Policy

The following policy applies for items Sold and shipped by Autonomous only (“Autonomous Products”or “Products") and does not cover products manufactured by other brands sold under the Dropship model. For any products Sold and shipped by Vendor other than Autonomous (“Vendor Products"), please refer to Dropship Product TOU.

30 Day Trial and Return Eligibility

Most Autonomous Products* are eligible for a 30 day trial period and can be returned within 30 days of receipt in the 48 contiguous United States of America. The items must be in like-new conditions with the original packaging.

How the trial period works:
  • Your trial period begins when your items are delivered. If your order consists of multiple items, each item has its own trial period depending on its actual delivery dates.

  • If you order a product that is shipped in several packages, your trial period starts from the date that your last package is delivered.

For specific sales and promotion campaigns, please carefully read through our campaign T&Cs prior to making any purchase to determine whether the participating Autonomous products are eligible for the standard trial and return policy.  

 

Refunds

To process a Return:

  • Return requests must be submitted via this form within 30 days of receiving the item.

  • Photographic evidence showing products are still in “like-new” condition, and have been properly packaged into original packaging must be provided. All items must be returned in the original packaging. Very important: Without the original packaging, items can be damaged during return transit.

  • Once approved, we’ll issue an RMA number and a return shipping label. Return authorizations expire 30 days after approval.

  • You can either choose to bring the package to the local carrier center to return to Autonomous or call the carrier directly to arrange a pickup but Autonomous will not cover the pickup fee if any.

  • Returns are typically inspected and processed within 5 business days of receipt.

  • We’ll issue a refund to your original payment method once we process your return. Most returns are processed within 5 business days of receipt. Refunds may take 7-10 business days to appear on your statement, depending on your financial institution.

  • Autonomous has the right to deny a refund if your returned package(s) is dropped off at the carrier center a month after your trial period ends.

Amazon Returns

If you placed your order via Amazon please initiate your return through Amazon directly.

Return Information for Orders Paid with Affirm

Orders made using Affirm will be refunded through Affirm once the return has been inspected and accepted.

Any interest accrued on orders purchased through Affirm is non-refundable.

Refund Policy for Crypto Purchases

The refund will be issued for the cryptocurrency equivalent of this amount at the current exchange rate, not the exchange rate on the original purchase.

We will refund in the same cryptocurrency and same wallet address used for the purchase, with the amount based on the current USD value of the product.

Shipping Fees
  • We’ll provide a prepaid label if you initiate a return request within the 30 day window. 

  • Return shipping is free to customers within the contiguous U.S. for Autonomous products that are eligible for the 30 day trial and return policy.

  • Due to high shipping fees and other shipping regulations, return is not allowed for items shipped to Hawaii and Alaska. Our warranty covers Autonomous products in the aforementioned markets. Please have a look at the warranty policy for more information.

Exchanges

Exchanges are processed as two separate transactions. We’ll issue a refund for your return to your original payment method and will gladly help you place a new order for your preferred item or configuration. We’re unable to apply credit from your return towards a new purchase.

Exceptions to Free Trial & Return Policy

Our 30-day Free Trial and Return Policy do not apply to the following products and orders:

  • Autonomous Pod Product category.

  • Autonomous “Tabletop only” or “Smartdesk Surface only” purchase.  

  • Oversized Autonomous Products including SmartDesk with XL table top, SmartDesk Corner.

  • Bulk Orders. A bulk order is defined as any purchase order with more than three (03) items of the same products or a mixture of different products making up more than 3 items or any order with a value greater than $1500. Customers that have the intention to purchase Bulk Order are advised to order single items to test out prior to placing a Bulk Order.

  • Sales or Promotion items are NOT returnable. Customers are advised to read the terms and conditions applicable to such campaigns prior to making such purchases.

  • Clearance products are not returnable.

  • Any installation or assembly services.

  • Replacement part order(s).

  • Customized Order.

  • Order ships to Hawaii and Alaska.

  • Replacement parts.

Warranty

If a product purchased from Autonomous arrived damaged or defective, you are covered under our Warranty policy. We recommend that all shipments be inspected immediately upon arrival. Please make note of any damage to boxes when signing for the shipment.

  • Report any losses or damages evidence promptly to our customer service team.

  • Notification must be made within one week of delivery. Otherwise, Autonomous reserves the right to deny your claim request.

Bulk Order

A Bulk Order can not be canceled, modified or exchanged for any reason after the order has shipped. A Bulk Order is not eligible for Free trial and Return.

If a customer would like to return such a Bulk Order, a Customer shall ensure a) the Products are unopened and undamaged in any way; b) cover both the original shipping fee and the return shipping fee of the order back to the Autonomous warehouse.

 

Oversized Products

Any Autonomous SmartDesk Products with XL tabletop size (70.5”x30"), Autonomous SmartDesk Corner and purchases of Autonomous XL tabletops are not eligible for free return. An amount equal to return shipping cost will be deducted from your refund if the return is accepted. 

For the return amount, please contact our Customer Service for the exact return fee before making a purchase.

“Table Top only" purchase

Not returnable. Exchange allowed within 7 days of delivery if the product is unopened and in its original package. All the exchange requests must be submitted within 7 days from the delivery date. Otherwise, Autonomous reserves the right to deny your requests for exchange. Customers will bear the cost of shipping the product back to us in case of  exchange of any oversized Autonomous Table top

Restocking fee
  • The eligible product being returned must be in its original packaging. Any items without original packaging or with damaged packaging (providing that the product remains in “new" condition) upon inspection at our warehouse will incur a restocking fee of 30%. The restocking fee will be deducted from your refund.

  • A restocking fee of 30% will be applied if your returned package(s) is dropped off at the carrier center 1 week after your trial period ends and shall apply for any product that does not meet the aforementioned requirements once the Products are inspected by Autonomous.

What should I do if my product arrives damaged?


If your product arrives damaged, you can return it without the above exception. We recommend that all shipments be inspected immediately upon arrival. Please make note of any damage to boxes when signing for the shipment.

  • Report any losses or damages promptly to the Smart Office team on this warranty request form.
  • Notification must be made within one week of delivery. Otherwise, Autonomous reserves the right to deny your claim request.
  • Save all packaging until the trial period has ended in case of return.

Please let us know immediately if your order does not arrive within the delivery time frame. We cannot be responsible for claims filed more than 30 days after the delivery period.
