This morning has been filled with some outstanding swimming! The year 8 and 9 boys started the morning off with Godiva taking an early lead, Shakespeare closely following in 2nd place. Outstanding performances from Duncan Storey, Hudson Byatt and the Godiva relay team.

The year 8 and 9 girls competition proved to be a lot closer than expected, outstanding performances from Isabel Sharp, Charlotte Everest and Chloe Thompson for their individual events. Overall, Whittle took the lead and the competition began to become exciting!

The year 7s then entered the pool and the atmosphere was electric!! Both the boys and girls cheered each other on, supporting their hoseu in every race. All houses had outstanding swimmers, it had to come down to the last couple of races. Shakespeare took first place in both relays, therefore snatching first place for the year 7s. Whittle and Webb Ellis drew in the final race and this meant that Whittle took 3rd place! Zoe Sayers and Nancy Ovington had an extremely tense medley race, with Zoe stealing the lead on the breaststroke leg.

Overall a fantastic morning, every individual who took part gave their all and the support on the sideline was brilliant. Well done everyone who performed and thank you to the sports leaders for their help with timing.
