The afternoon started off with a strong win for James P in the hurdles winning convincingly. The hurdling successes continued with Izzie M and Freya E finish 1st and 3rd overall.
Following on from this successes followed on the track for Dom E in the 800m beating all of the year 7 and 8 competitors. Charlie S finished the boys track events with a win in the 100m by at least 10m.
The girls track joys came from Madeleine J in the 1500m winning by 100m, with Abbey G-S and Emily R coming home in 2nd and 3rd. Mae Q had a battle on her hands in the 200m but finished in a strong 2nd well ahead of the rest of the field. Maddie N continued her success on the track this season with another convincing win in the 100m.
The field events saw some good performances also with wins in the shot putt by Max F-P and Mae Q. A first win for Freya E in the yr 7 girls high jump with a jump of 1.25m. The yr 7 girls earned 1st and 2nd in the long jump with Izzie C-B stealing the victory over Holly F by 2cm.
All in all a lovely day, and reminder the year 7 and 8 girls and the year 8 boys have the County Finals of the Super 6 Athletics on Thursday.
