Year 9 have recently been studying the atrocities of the Holocaust and have been shocked at the horrors of the Nazi genocide.
One of the many lessons we learn from teaching the Holocaust is how not to be a bystander in the face of persecution and injustice so in today’s lessons pupils have been reading and learning about the current genocide taking place in the Xinjiang province of China against the Uyghur Muslims and other ethnic minorities. To take a stand on this matter, pupils have been writing impassioned letters to their local MPs to demand action be taken on their behalf.
