Year 10 netball

Another successful evening for year 10 netballers
The year 10 netballers returned to the court for their area tournament tonight. We took 2 strong teams to help battle to become the area champions.

The black team started off with a fantastic game against NLS, with outstanding shooting from Freya and Phoebe winning 8-0. Unfortunately, from then they had some really difficult matches where they finished the wrong side of the score. They narrowly missed out by 1 goal to Kings High, 8-7. Their 3rd match they played Aylesford where they lost 9-5, and finished the evening against Myton battling out a 7-3 defeat. The girls played fantastically throughout the evening and the defence of Zoe, Minnie, Toula and Izzy never let their heads drop and battled hard throughout.

The green team played in a different division, where they took on NLS (A), Kenilworth, Kingsley and Campion.  They started the evening with a 18-3 victory, the defence stayed tight throughout the evening not letting in a goal in the the following 2 matches against Kenilworth and Campion winning 15-0 and 20-0. They faced Kingsley in the final match which the girls continued to play at the same pace and saw them win 15-1. A huge volume of shots this evening, 68 goals scored by Amelia, Holly and Abby meant that the girls were untouchable.

Well done the Southam Green team, finishing victorious and being crowned champions of the area.

Outstanding netball tonight girls, well done! Miss Oakley enjoyed watching the quality of netball on display tonight. Remember there is a league match next week against NLS.
