Southam College Year 8 students have enjoyed their guided tour of Birmingham Central Mosque and Synagogue
Congratulations to Year 8 / U.13 Rugby Player Ally M who has been selected to trial for the Development Programme with Premiership Rugby team Wasps RFC.
Ally plays club Rugby for Harbury RFC and also for Southam College. The combination of this coaching and training will hopefully stand him in good stead.
We wish him every success.
Good luck Ally

Congratulations to Zoe S and her success at the Warwickshire County Swimming Championships. Zoe Year 8 competed over the last three weekends and won bronze medals in the 100m and 200m butterfly.
She now goes on to compete at regional level at ten West Midlands Championships in May.
The Year 8 Football took part in the 7 a side inter-schools football tournament at Myton this evening. The 7 min matches were played at a high intensity, frenetic pace with chances at a premium, making it difficult to breakdown the stubborn defences of some teams. We started well with a 1-0 victory against Aylesford and well taken goal from Harry L., but we saw how difficult it was going to be in our next game against a deep and resolute Campion defence drawing 0-0.
Often the games came down to one moment class or a defensive mistake. We profited from and were guilty at times of both, winning 1-0 against Henley and drawing a tough and hard fought game against Kenilworth. The team came into the tournament with hopes of going one better than their second place last year, but as some results didn’t go their way, they had to chase their remaining fixtures leaving our goal vulnerable. With stand in Keeper Joe C doing his best to keep out the oppositions attack’s and rotating our players, their efforts didn’t quite get the results we had hoped, but the team couldn’t be faulted for their endeavour.
Well done to all the team, Happy Birthday to captain Noah M, and hopefully next year we’ll be able to learn from our experiences at this tournament.
A massive thank you and well done to James, Alfie and Jake who successfully organised a cake sale in honour of World Cancer Day.
They raised £56.40
